At GMS, we believe that business growth and community progress go hand in hand. Our commitment extends beyond paper — to the people and planet we serve.
When Greystone Manufacturing Sarl was founded, we made a commitment that went beyond commerce. We set out to build a company that would contribute meaningfully to the communities across Cameroon and the broader CEMAC region that we serve.
From supporting access to education — by ensuring schools always have quality paper — to building local jobs, empowering SMEs, and championing environmentally responsible practices, GMS is driven by a long-term vision: a more prosperous, educated, and sustainable Central Africa.
Our partnership with PaperOne and the APRIL Group also reflects this value — the paper we distribute is manufactured from 100% renewable plantation fibre, PEFC certified, and produced with minimal environmental impact.
Four areas where GMS is committed to making a lasting positive difference.
Education is the engine of development. By ensuring that schools, universities, and training centres across Cameroon have reliable access to quality paper, GMS plays a quiet but vital role in the learning outcomes of millions of students.
We prioritise educational institutions in our distribution network, offering dedicated supply agreements to schools and universities at competitive pricing — recognising that when a school runs out of paper, learning stops.
Our vision explicitly calls for sustainable development. Every product we distribute is sourced from 100% renewable plantation forests — not old-growth or endangered forests — and carries the PEFC certification as proof.
We also work toward reducing our logistics footprint through route optimisation and partnering with logistics companies that share our environmental values. As we grow toward our planned production facility, sustainability will be built into every process.
GMS is a Cameroonian company committed to growing the local economy. By building a strong distribution network that relies on certified Cameroonian logistics partners, we create and sustain jobs across the supply chain — from warehouse operations to last-mile delivery.
Our goal of becoming Central Africa's paper hub means thousands of tonnes of paper will be sourced, processed, and distributed within the region — keeping value in the CEMAC economy rather than relying entirely on imports.
Concrete actions that define our community responsibility.
We only source and distribute products with verifiable certifications (PEFC, ISO), giving our customers confidence that every purchase meets international ethical and quality standards.
From our Odza warehouse team to our network of logistics partners, GMS is dedicated to creating direct and indirect employment opportunities for Cameroonians at every level.
We maintain priority supply relationships with public schools and non-profit educational organisations, ensuring that limited budgets never mean limited access to learning materials.
Our long-term vision is regional. By positioning as the CEMAC paper hub, GMS contributes to deeper economic integration and trade across Central Africa.
As we scale toward our 20,000 MT/year production facility, environmental sustainability will be embedded in every process — from energy use to waste management.
Competitive wholesale pricing and flexible minimum order quantities help small retailers and traders build profitable, sustainable businesses around paper supply in their local markets.
